Mobile Gait Analysis System based on IoMT Insole

Existing Walkway-type or 3D image analysis-type gait analysis systems can measure only a few steps in a spacious room, are expensive (10s of thousands of dollars to hundreds of thousands of dollars) and require a professional operator. In particular, you cannot analyze your daily gait. The footLogger is a Mobile Gait Analysis System based on IoMT insoles which can analyze everyday gait, which is impossible with the Walkway-type or 3D image analysis-type gait analysis systems.


Durable & energy efficient digital pressure sensor

Capacitive type or FSR(Force Sensitive Resister) type pressure sensors are commonly used for foot pressure analysis because of their flexibility. However, due to their poor durability, they are often easily damaged by threshold exceeding pressure or continuous pressure for a long time. 3L Labs solved this problem by independently developing a digital pressure sensor with strong durability and low power consumption. It became possible to collect gait 24/7.


Convenient & sanitary wide spacing wireless charging

In the case of battery replacement or wire charging, there is a reluctance to touch our shoes or insoles. 50mm wide spacing wireless charging technology allows wireless charging with the footLogger in your shoes. (The wireless charging technology used by smartphones cannot charge devices with a gap of 10mm or more. Most of the shoe midsoles are more than 10mm, so the current standard wireless charging technology cannot charge the smart insole in the shoe. )


Versatile stride length measurement

If you can measure your daily stride, you can calculate your walking speed, so you can use walking speed-based research results on a daily basis. Diseases that cause uneven stride can be identified, and objective evaluation of walking posture is possible. (Appropriate stride = height X 0.415(0.37~0.45)) Maintaining a wide stride can improve various diseases such as back pain and knee pain, and bad gait.


Automatic gait data collecting & uploading   

When you put on a shoe with footLogger, gait collection starts automatically. The footLogger is automatically charged when placed on shoeStation, and the walking data collected in the footLogger is automatically transmitted to fGait (gait data analysis server) in the cloud. Users are not aware of the collection and transmission of walking data. It is possible to collect and transmit walking data without a smartphone.
